This has been an interesting Lent! I have learned so much despite not being anywhere close to finishing either book I set out to read. (I kept getting distracted, but that’s okay as I said I learned a great deal this Lenten Season.) I’ll just start with today’s first Gospel reading and I’ll tell you more as the Easter Season comes around, too. (Yes, we’re almost to Easter! ❤ 😀 )
Be honest with me here, how many of you actually knew that the word “Hosanna” means “Save us now!”? Hmm, not too many I see. Good, I’m not alone. Yes, I learned this weekend (specifically last night at Mass) that is what it means. When I watched the video devotion (that I do now nearly every day), I re-learned this. (On a side note, feel free to subscribe to this devotion or this wonderful man; he’s also one of my favorite musicians, Catholic musician/composer at that. 😀 ❤ )
So now I’m rethinking about a scene from a movie that I’m sure almost all of you have seen. Who has never seen Jesus Christ Superstar? I mean come on, that’s like one of my favorite musicals of all time. Anyway, if you have seen that musical then you know which scene I’m talking about here; Jesus is riding the donkey into Jerusalem and everyone is singing “Hosanna! Hey-sanna!” This now makes me laugh so hard hearing the phrase now, “Save us now, hey-sanna! Sanna, hey! Sanna-ho!” Instead of the actual lyrics, “Hosanna! Hey-sanna! Sanna, hey! Sanna-ho!” 😆 I don’t know maybe I’m the only one.
I guess I’ll end there because really I have lots left to do tonight and I want to actually finish before Steven tonight. I’m tired of always having to listen to him ask “Aren’t you done yet?” and just now Mom has asked me, “What’s the matter change your mind [about being with me]?” 🙄
Love and prayers, as always! ❤
