Sweet, White Rabbit!

White rabbit! Yes, it’s already February 1 and surprise! I’m baack! (Oh my gosh! I just heard Thayne’s voice in my head; “She’s baack!” To quote Bugs Bunny, from way back when, “I’m dying here!” This is too much. πŸ˜† ) πŸ˜€

Anyway, so yes, I know I’ve been gone for what probably feels like an eternity to most of my loyal blog followers. I must apologize for that. It just seemed every time I thought I’d get a moment to myself,Β BAM! Something or someone else would vie for my attention. Usually it was work, whether that be C & S Productions or Nestle Toll House/Haagen-Dazs. Occasionally, it was Mom asking an annoying question that I’ve answered about 3 or 4 times that day or trying to leave herself out again.

As you might have guessed that left me quite stressed, tired, and uninspired to write anything or do anything else. So I’ll spare you all the details of what’s been going on because mostly it’s been working and trying to keep myself afloat without going broke (paying off two credit cards); I’ve also been trying to remind myself that “Love is patient.” I keep listening to my music to keep me sane and exercise when I get the chance.

Speaking of exercising and health, I’ve actually finally checked my blood sugar/glucose for the first time since November. I must say I wasn’t exactly looking forward to it, but I also knew I must be doing something right because I hadn’t felt sick lately and I felt in control again. I’ve also been eating much healthier snacks (e.g., cheese sticks, apples, cranberries [both fresh and dried], and some sorbet). I know, I hear you, “Stop procrastinating and tell us what it was already!” Okay, I took it this morning and it was 129 mg/dl. That’s actually pretty awesome for me! Granted I should be 120 or lower in the mornings, but this isn’t bad considering that I had been seeing fasting blood sugar/glucose numbers around 135 and 138 or higher. I’m quite the happy camper, as the saying around here goes, right now! πŸ™‚

Well, I guess I really don’t have much else to say; so I guess I’ll sign off and listen to my music some more and just relax some more until everyone comes in to watch TV with me and we’ll see how the rest of the week pans out. Hopefully, I can find more time to write and talk again with you all. Until then…

Love and prayers, as always! ❀

About Christy

I enjoy: my family, my faith life, photography, drawing; writing, working on cars, basketball, football, and baseball. These are just a few of the many things I like...you'll just have to read my blog to know me better to know more of them. Other things you may not catch on that I enjoy are: cats, angels, ballroom dancing, Christian music, camping (being one with nature and all of God's creations), traveling, cherry and apple blossoms, and the colors blue (in all shades), white, black, dark purple, and SOME shades of pink. (Rainbows are cool, too. And I'm NOT a lesbian! Although, I'm friends with some gays and lesbians as well as a few transgenders.) I am Roman Catholic. I graduated from Johnson County Community College, where I majored in Animation in hopes of fulfilling my dreams of being a computer generated animation movie maker. I also have a degree in Corporate Communication from Avila University. I'm currently employed at Nestle Toll House/Haagen-Dazs (at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park), I own my own business -- C & S Productions, L.L.C. (check it out at http://www.csproductionsllc.com), and am single. My favorite time of year is Winter and the Christmas season! It's just so...well, I can't put it into words. ^_^ Lastly, I am 36 years young!
