I always enjoy receiving and giving hugs, sometimes more than others. Today I felt overjoyed to see two friends giving each other a hug! 🙂 I guess you could say I was so overcome with joy that I forgot to ask for my hug, so I offered — via text message — one of my friends a virtual hug. I could hear him laughing as he probably said and typed “Thanks, lol.”
Another one of my friends mentioned to me that she also loves to give and receive hugs, but she gave me an interesting twist on why. “Do you know what hugs stands for?” she asked me one day when I needed one from her. I shook my head. “Happiness urgently given someone!” ❤ That’s so sweet! I now remember that anytime I give someone a real or virtual hug. 🙂
I also gave Steven a virtual hug today when I texted him to inform him we (my mom and I) were about half way finished with our walk this afternoon and I was picking him up something special on the way home since I knew he’d had a rough day (and I’m sure he doesn’t want me sharing his troubles, but let’s just say it’s over and done with now).
More hugs I can assure you will be given out in the course of the next few days; I mean I am always willing to give a hug to anyone. 🙂 Why not share the happiness?
So I guess that’s my thought for the day; give someone a hug whether you think that person needs one or not. Whether you’re related or not. Hugs can never be a bad thing — unless of course you give one too hard and suffocate the poor recipient or (as has happened to my mom from Daddy) crack their ribs.
Well, I’ll talk to you all again soon!
Love and prayers, and hugs 😉 , as always! ❤
