Father Figure One

As I stated in my previous post, I’m going to make this Fathers Day week a special one and dedicate it to all father figures in my life. These are not exactly in any particular order mind you, but I do intend to actually dedicate my final entry this week (on Fathers Day) to Daddy! ❤ 😀

Today’s entry is about actually someone who is both like a brother AND a father to me. A fellow mall employee who works at the kiosk directly across from me is named Red. I don’t know really how old he is, but I’m fairly certain he’s near my age. Anyway, Red is actually going to be a dad this September to his first-born daughter. Red always puts the needs of others ahead of him and that is what I believe any good parent does. I know Daddy always put others’ needs ahead of his own; I didn’t notice that until many years later, sadly though. Red also dispenses lots of advice and usually it’s not unwarranted (at least as far as I’m concerned and with our relationship). This is what fathers (and all parents should) do for their children, too. They also, like Red, want to help instead of hinder; Red’s job is to sell massagers and one would think he’d just do this because it’s his job, but really I can see he’s just wanting to help.

So all in all I think Red has really proven time and again he just wants to be helpful, kind, self-sacrificing, and just an all around great guy! I’m glad he’s my friend and consider him like another brother as well as a wonderful father figure in my life. ❤ 🙂

Love and prayers, as always! ❤

About Christy

I enjoy: my family, my faith life, photography, drawing; writing, working on cars, basketball, football, and baseball. These are just a few of the many things I like...you'll just have to read my blog to know me better to know more of them. Other things you may not catch on that I enjoy are: cats, angels, ballroom dancing, Christian music, camping (being one with nature and all of God's creations), traveling, cherry and apple blossoms, and the colors blue (in all shades), white, black, dark purple, and SOME shades of pink. (Rainbows are cool, too. And I'm NOT a lesbian! Although, I'm friends with some gays and lesbians as well as a few transgenders.) I am Roman Catholic. I graduated from Johnson County Community College, where I majored in Animation in hopes of fulfilling my dreams of being a computer generated animation movie maker. I also have a degree in Corporate Communication from Avila University. I'm currently employed at Nestle Toll House/Haagen-Dazs (at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park), I own my own business -- C & S Productions, L.L.C. (check it out at http://www.csproductionsllc.com), and am single. My favorite time of year is Winter and the Christmas season! It's just so...well, I can't put it into words. ^_^ Lastly, I am 36 years young!
