Back on Track (I Hope)

So I went to my annual exam and finally got my prescription back that has been out for almost a month now. I’m happy to report that “everything looks good” as my doctor says. He informed me that my lab results should show the same thing and that I’ve lost weight since I saw him last year; I was weighing around 180 lbs. last time I saw him. I am now down to around 175, but I’m sure that about 5 lbs of that is due to water weight. Also my blood sugar/glucose seems to be back down, too. It was running around 125-138 mg/dl for my fasting numbers and around 145-220 mg/dl after eating. My numbers are now around 107 mg/dl for fasting and 140 mg/dl after eating.

I always say I could use some extra prayers and it seems they’ve been answered. I know at least one person who’s been helping in that department and he’s also been helping me through some rough times lately; you’ve heard me mention him several times and if he’s reading (which I know some times he does): Thanks, Thayne (“Dad”)! šŸ˜€

I hope this all means I’m back on track. It’s been a long battle these last few weeks and months and it will only get harder on me until about September. May will be hard because of Daddy’s birthday, (death) anniversary date (new “birth” day), and Memorial Day. June is hard because of Father’s Day; July is a problem because we usually have family get-togethers then (or barbecues) and I miss seeing him at those; August brings my birthday and with my birthday I will always wish for the same thing (even though I know it will never come true, I always wish I could see Daddy again). By the time September rolls around again kids are back in school and there’s nothing to worry about until Thanksgiving and beginning of Advent in November and then all the winter festivities begin again and I’m right back to where I am now. Wow! How time flies, huh?! šŸ˜‰

So without much more to write, I guess I’ll sign off and get some more done until I write next; most likely I’ll finish my 3D modeling project and start on the next one. I still need some advertising ideas, so if you have any feel free to tell me — I’m all ears!

Love and prayers, now and always! ā¤

About Christy

I enjoy: my family, my faith life, photography, drawing; writing, working on cars, basketball, football, and baseball. These are just a few of the many things I'll just have to read my blog to know me better to know more of them. Other things you may not catch on that I enjoy are: cats, angels, ballroom dancing, Christian music, camping (being one with nature and all of God's creations), traveling, cherry and apple blossoms, and the colors blue (in all shades), white, black, dark purple, and SOME shades of pink. (Rainbows are cool, too. And I'm NOT a lesbian! Although, I'm friends with some gays and lesbians as well as a few transgenders.) I am Roman Catholic. I graduated from Johnson County Community College, where I majored in Animation in hopes of fulfilling my dreams of being a computer generated animation movie maker. I also have a degree in Corporate Communication from Avila University. I'm currently employed at Nestle Toll House/Haagen-Dazs (at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park), I own my own business -- C & S Productions, L.L.C. (check it out at, and am single. My favorite time of year is Winter and the Christmas season! It's just so...well, I can't put it into words. ^_^ Lastly, I am 36 years young!
