So I’ve decided to spend the rest of this year discovering who I am. I just have discovered a little bit, just the tip of the iceberg. The past few days I found that (at least) two types of music energize me and keep me calm: instrumentals and Gregorian chant. Sometimes you can mix in a bit of nature and classical music (think like Dan Gibson’s Solitudes collection) and I really can be motivated or calmed (depending on the beat of the music). I also learned that I can get really stressed if I’m asked to make more than one thing for an order at any given time. I had a family come to the store the other day and order 2 small shakes and 1 regular from me; then when I started to make those the spokesman for the family asked for more things. A co-worker of mine started helping and before long all 3 of us were working to fulfill one family of 5’s order. This got me so flustered that I made one wrong shake, but managed to get all of the order keyed into the computer correctly (with a little help).
I’ve also learned that if something is important enough to me, I’ll find a way to do it and no matter who will join me on that journey. My example of this is the sheer fact I’m joining a fitness center and I’m determined to do it even if it means no one else will join me or that I may need financial assistance down the road. If it means doing something that is important to me, I’ll find it a way or so help me!
Well, that’s it for now. Stay tuned and let’s see what else I can discover about myself and others in the next few days, weeks, and months ahead. 🙂
Love and prayers!
