Working Hard and Feeling Groovy

Before I burst into song (as I’m sure most of you have guessed which song I’ll be quoting tonight), I must say I have been working very hard today. It was my day off my traditional/part-time gig at the mall, but that didn’t stop me from working very hard today and heck even at the mall gig for the past few days either.

I’ve been working on my latest 3D CAD model and I’m quite impressed with how this is turning out. πŸ˜€ I was at first a bit scared to try modeling something so complicated, but it’s turning out very well. I must admit though I’m not very far and things could always take a turn for the worst, but let’s hope they don’t. πŸ˜‰

While this model isn’t very organic, and I had planned to focus less on geometric and move towards organic modeling, I have some pieces in here that are organic and the entire scene will not be just geometric. I have plans to add in scenery that will include a lot of organic material/items/objects.

I don’t plan to divulge what it is I’m modeling, but I will provide you with a teaser — a screen shot — of said object and see if any of you can guess what it is before I finish. πŸ™‚ No, there’s no prize. But hey, let’s have some fun!

Here it is!

What is it? We're chugging along at a steady pace here! ;)

What is it? We’re chugging along at a steady pace here!

If you have any guesses or, as the saying goes, want to play along at home, feel free to leave your guesses in the comments and as time goes on I’ll post more screen shots and we’ll see if anyone can come up with it. Keep in mind the textures, lighting, and angle at which I render this will change at various times throughout the process.

Now for the song, which I’m sure a lot of you all ready figured out.

Slow down, you move too fast.
You got to make the mornin’ last.
Just kickin’ down the cobblestones,
Lookin’ for fun and feelin’ groovy.
Ba da da da da da da, feelin’ groovy.

Hello, lamppost, whatcha knowin’?
I come to watch your flowers growin’.
Ain’tcha got no rhymes for me?
Doo it doo doo, feelin’ groovy.
Ba da da da da da da, feelin’ groovy.

I got no deeds to do, no promises to keep.
I’m dappled and drowsy and ready to sleep
Let the morningtime drop all it’s petals on me
Life, I love you, all is groovy!
Ba da da da da da da ba bap a dee…

About Christy

I enjoy: my family, my faith life, photography, drawing; writing, working on cars, basketball, football, and baseball. These are just a few of the many things I like...you'll just have to read my blog to know me better to know more of them. Other things you may not catch on that I enjoy are: cats, angels, ballroom dancing, Christian music, camping (being one with nature and all of God's creations), traveling, cherry and apple blossoms, and the colors blue (in all shades), white, black, dark purple, and SOME shades of pink. (Rainbows are cool, too. And I'm NOT a lesbian! Although, I'm friends with some gays and lesbians as well as a few transgenders.) I am Roman Catholic. I graduated from Johnson County Community College, where I majored in Animation in hopes of fulfilling my dreams of being a computer generated animation movie maker. I also have a degree in Corporate Communication from Avila University. I'm currently employed at Nestle Toll House/Haagen-Dazs (at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park), I own my own business -- C & S Productions, L.L.C. (check it out at http://www.csproductionsllc.com), and am single. My favorite time of year is Winter and the Christmas season! It's just so...well, I can't put it into words. ^_^ Lastly, I am 36 years young!
