Having a Blast

Today was a blast (in more ways than one)! I opened today at my part-time gig and boy was I unprepared for all the fun that would ensue. I stocked shelves full of cookies and other baked goods, but noticed we were in need of brownies (cookies and cream brownies to be exact). So I prepared the necessary ingredients (because of proprietary reasons I cannot divulge all of them), but at one point I realized one of the icings I needed was not liquified enough. That was also about when the owner came out and noticed I wasn’t using the squirt bottles. We decided to add my warm icing to the solid icing already int he squirt bottle. It wasn’t coming, so he pressed harder. POP! I burst out laughing as the bottle had burst and exploded icing everywhere. On my owner. On me (glasses included). On the counter. On the floor. EVERYWHERE! We promised we wouldn’t tell anyone, but who can blame me. I mean everyone deserves a laugh and he even laughed about it. I mean it was bad, but at the same time we had a good laugh and who can blame us for just having fun and carrying on when all was lost.

Yes, eventually the brownies were made and we sold (at the time I left anyway) all but one. I kept telling the customers today (whenever they commented on them), “They were a blast to make this morning!” No one but my owner and I knew the truth of the matter, but it was a great play on words today. I had a blast and I don’t think I’ll ever forget today or his look on his face when all this happened. 😀

Well, guess I’d better sign off and take a bath/shower and wash my hair so I’m all ready for tomorrow (my clothes are all in the wash ahead of me). Hopefully, also, my owner won’t read this or if he does he won’t be angry. I mean it’s all fun and besides which we had a blast (and I didn’t cry or yell at him)!

Love and prayers!

About Christy

I enjoy: my family, my faith life, photography, drawing; writing, working on cars, basketball, football, and baseball. These are just a few of the many things I like...you'll just have to read my blog to know me better to know more of them. Other things you may not catch on that I enjoy are: cats, angels, ballroom dancing, Christian music, camping (being one with nature and all of God's creations), traveling, cherry and apple blossoms, and the colors blue (in all shades), white, black, dark purple, and SOME shades of pink. (Rainbows are cool, too. And I'm NOT a lesbian! Although, I'm friends with some gays and lesbians as well as a few transgenders.) I am Roman Catholic. I graduated from Johnson County Community College, where I majored in Animation in hopes of fulfilling my dreams of being a computer generated animation movie maker. I also have a degree in Corporate Communication from Avila University. I'm currently employed at Nestle Toll House/Haagen-Dazs (at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park), I own my own business -- C & S Productions, L.L.C. (check it out at http://www.csproductionsllc.com), and am single. My favorite time of year is Winter and the Christmas season! It's just so...well, I can't put it into words. ^_^ Lastly, I am 36 years young!
