I’m sure you’ve seen a lot of those “Keep calm and…on!” shirts or posters. I know I have. Today I’m making a new one: Keep calm and serve on! 😀 You can take that in either serving one’s country in the armed services or, as in my case for the day, serving food and drinks, etc.
At one point at work there were only 4 of us behind the counter serving around 10-20 people. 😯 I’m not exaggerating. It got really busy, but I kept calm and served and baked on. I don’t know how we managed, but we made it and by the time I left around 5:15 pm or so it was finally calm enough that 3 of my co-workers could manage for an additional 15 minutes or so until the 4th co-worker came on at 5:30 pm.
It was crazy, and I didn’t eat much for lunch, but we made it and I had a nice dinner when I got home from Mass, too. Yeah, I was a little late to Mass, but I still snuck in and sat near Mom and Steven (not next to like I would have wanted).
Throughout it all, I kept praying to stay calm and have Jesus guide me and lead me on. I was (and still am) very tired. It is going to be a long one this week coming up (I’m only off Thursday and Sunday), but I’ll be fine! Everything is going to be okay!
Love and prayers!
