Dream On

Another song has found its way into my head tonight. I don’t know why. Usually when I get a song in my head there’s a good reason for it. I guess then maybe I do know why this song got stuck in my head and will probably stay there for a VERY long time. As always, I’ll share the song lyrics at the end of this entry.

So today I spent most of my day working on my 3D CAD model of a bookshelf. It turned out quite nicely. I just was quite aggravated by the fact I could not get my book model to look quite right according to the tutorial I was watching and trying to follow. Finally I just threw caution to the wind and decided to just go with what I thought was being said and model it in my own way. It turned out better than I expected; though, not perfect I was able to make it look decent. My model is as close to perfect as I can make it and even if it doesn’t make it into a movie any time soon or even get me famous, I can dream and hope that it will at least do justice in my gallery on my website. 😀

Won’t you take some time to just look at some of my work? I promise I’ll update more after I texture everything over this next week. I’ll also update you on my appointment when I get home or the next day. I’ll just dream on as I work hard on my modeling and my diet and exercise (as well as my New Year’s resolution and Lenten promise).

Now here’s the song:

Every time that I look in the mirror
All these lines on my face getting clearer
The past is gone
It went by like dusk to dawn
Isn’t that the way
Everybody’s got their dues in life to payYeah, I know nobody knows
Where it comes and where it goes
I know it’s everybody’s sin
You got to lose to know how to win

Half my life’s in books’ written pages
Live and learn from fools and from sages
You know it’s true
All the prayers come back to you

Sing with me, sing for the year
Sing for the laughter and sing for the tear
Sing with me, if it’s just for today
Maybe tomorrow good Lord will take you away

Sing with me, sing it for the year
Sing for the laughter and sing for the tear
Sing with me, if it’s just for today
Maybe tomorrow good Lord will take you away

Dream on, dream on, dream on,
Dream yourself a dream come true
Dream on, dream on, dream on,
Dream until your dreams come true
Dream on [7x]

Sing with me, sing it for the year
Sing for the laughter and sing it for the tear
Sing with me, if it’s just for today
Maybe tomorrow good Lord will take you away

Sing with me, sing it for the year
Sing for the laughter and sing it for the tear
Sing with me, if it’s just for today
Maybe tomorrow good Lord will take you away

“Dream On” Aerosmith, 1973

Love and prayers!

About Christy

I enjoy: my family, my faith life, photography, drawing; writing, working on cars, basketball, football, and baseball. These are just a few of the many things I like...you'll just have to read my blog to know me better to know more of them. Other things you may not catch on that I enjoy are: cats, angels, ballroom dancing, Christian music, camping (being one with nature and all of God's creations), traveling, cherry and apple blossoms, and the colors blue (in all shades), white, black, dark purple, and SOME shades of pink. (Rainbows are cool, too. And I'm NOT a lesbian! Although, I'm friends with some gays and lesbians as well as a few transgenders.) I am Roman Catholic. I graduated from Johnson County Community College, where I majored in Animation in hopes of fulfilling my dreams of being a computer generated animation movie maker. I also have a degree in Corporate Communication from Avila University. I'm currently employed at Nestle Toll House/Haagen-Dazs (at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park), I own my own business -- C & S Productions, L.L.C. (check it out at http://www.csproductionsllc.com), and am single. My favorite time of year is Winter and the Christmas season! It's just so...well, I can't put it into words. ^_^ Lastly, I am 35 years young!
