Today is Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday (observed) in the United States! Woot! Why am I so happy? Because he is one of my mentors. I’ve always said, if I had lived at the same time you might actually find me going to those rallies, sit-ins, and demonstrations. I have never been one to see skin color; I don’t mean that I can’t see the different pigments, but rather that I don’t see why we can’t just all get along and treat everyone as equal. We are all brothers and sisters in God and if you don’t believe in God at least in all of humankind.
So today as we celebrate his birthday, I hope we will strive to live up to his dream and one day make that dream a reality.
Love and prayers!
