One Step Forward

So today I took a step forward to making 2015 better. I looked up a bunch of places and turned in some virtual paperwork. Unless you’re following me on Facebook as myself (not my business) I really don’t feel comfortable saying quite yet what this virtual paperwork was for and if you do follow me there, please don’t say or allude to this much. Thanks in advance!

Now I will admit it took me a while to get motivated to do such a thing. Why? Well, I guess quite honestly I am still scared and semi-comfortable with how things are right now. So to actually take that step forward, I went for a second walk around the local mall (where I work right now) and looked around in a very different way. I saw how things look to someone who was trying to be super critical and how trends are going. I saw lots of things that were negative and not many positives. About the only positives I saw were a couple of former co-workers from Yankee Candle (but I didn’t stop in to say “hi”) and a mannequin dressed very similar to how I dress (I guess that means I’ve finally found what type of clothing/style I wear). Other than that, my only other positive was I ordered my favorite (well one of my favorites) drink from the local espresso bar.

Now it’s time to wait. I just hope this will all pay off and I can get things in order soon and will be happy once more!

On a different note, I have been doing fairly well with my resolutions. I’ve been writing here every other day and brushing and flossing my teeth the other days (when I don’t write in here). Thursday I’ll see how well I’ve been doing on my brushing and flossing when I go to the dentist 😛 Bleh!

Well, guess I’ll write more on Thursday evening and let you know about the appointment and hope to have some kind of news about my virtual paperwork by then, too. 😉

Love and prayers!

About Christy

I enjoy: my family, my faith life, photography, drawing; writing, working on cars, basketball, football, and baseball. These are just a few of the many things I'll just have to read my blog to know me better to know more of them. Other things you may not catch on that I enjoy are: cats, angels, ballroom dancing, Christian music, camping (being one with nature and all of God's creations), traveling, cherry and apple blossoms, and the colors blue (in all shades), white, black, dark purple, and SOME shades of pink. (Rainbows are cool, too. And I'm NOT a lesbian! Although, I'm friends with some gays and lesbians as well as a few transgenders.) I am Roman Catholic. I graduated from Johnson County Community College, where I majored in Animation in hopes of fulfilling my dreams of being a computer generated animation movie maker. I also have a degree in Corporate Communication from Avila University. I'm currently employed at Nestle Toll House/Haagen-Dazs (at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park), I own my own business -- C & S Productions, L.L.C. (check it out at, and am single. My favorite time of year is Winter and the Christmas season! It's just so...well, I can't put it into words. ^_^ Lastly, I am 36 years young!
