I feel unrestricted! I feel free! It’s been almost one week since I hurt my ribs and I decided this morning I was going to take my rib belt/brace off before going to work. Probably not the smartest thing, but I was willing to take a chance! I’m very happy to report it wasn’t at all dumb.

I’m now unrestricted and can move freely! My ribs still are a bit tender to the touch and a bit stiff in my lower lung area where my cartilage was torn, but otherwise I’m good. I couldn’t sing very well tonight at Mass — I suppose that’s to be expected, though.

Anyway, I’m feeling much better and can’t wait to do more now that everything is starting to become more normal and I just have to remember to be more careful in the future. So talking about returning to normal, well that involves a whole bunch of activities that I couldn’t do. This whole past week, I’ve been unable to wash my hair because I was afraid of pulling some muscles or my ribs, so I guess I’ll have to do that tomorrow. Then there was the fact I couldn’t take a shower or bath because that’d involve taking the brace off and I was afraid if I did that we’d never get it back on or I’d pull something again. Also I sort of slacked off on brushing my teeth. I even need to get back to cleaning my bedroom.

Speaking of cleaning, I did manage to sell about 4-5 books (my drawing books that I don’t need/want any more) during my resting time. I also managed to help straighten our wood pile (photo coming soon). So I wasn’t a total goof-off!

Well, guess I’d better sign off for now. I’ll write more soon.

Love and prayers!

About Christy

I enjoy: my family, my faith life, photography, drawing; writing, working on cars, basketball, football, and baseball. These are just a few of the many things I like...you'll just have to read my blog to know me better to know more of them. Other things you may not catch on that I enjoy are: cats, angels, ballroom dancing, Christian music, camping (being one with nature and all of God's creations), traveling, cherry and apple blossoms, and the colors blue (in all shades), white, black, dark purple, and SOME shades of pink. (Rainbows are cool, too. And I'm NOT a lesbian! Although, I'm friends with some gays and lesbians as well as a few transgenders.) I am Roman Catholic. I graduated from Johnson County Community College, where I majored in Animation in hopes of fulfilling my dreams of being a computer generated animation movie maker. I also have a degree in Corporate Communication from Avila University. I'm currently employed at Nestle Toll House/Haagen-Dazs (at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park), I own my own business -- C & S Productions, L.L.C. (check it out at http://www.csproductionsllc.com), and am single. My favorite time of year is Winter and the Christmas season! It's just so...well, I can't put it into words. ^_^ Lastly, I am 36 years young!
