An Interesting Dream

I had an interesting dream early this morning. I normally do not share my dreams because they are very personal and have special meaning usually to only me. This dream, however, I felt I wanted to share and that maybe it will help some of you out as well. Keep in mind, I dreamt this about 12 hours ago (or more) so most of the details are fuzzy and incase I forgot to mention this before (anywhere) I am a lucid dreamer. At any rate, here goes!

I was in an older Catholic church and wearing a wedding dress. Apparently I was supposed to be the bride in this wedding. At any rate, I was visiting with some of the guests in attendance at the wedding before the ceremony and when I arrived at one of the pews about 3 or 4 rows from the front, my eyes caught sight of someone special! It was DADDY! I cried tears of joy. I was so happy to see him again. It has been quite some time since I’d seen him (I can’t remember the last time I dreamt about him, but it has been almost 7 years this month since I’ve physically seen him). He said something about not wanting to miss “my girl’s next chapter in her life.” I gave him a big hug and he stood up and held out his arms to hug me. He was wearing the baby blue suit we had him buried in (along with his navy, light blue, and white striped tie and navy pants). As we made our way to the back of the church where I was going to show him to Mom and Steven, someone stopped me and said I had to “pay [my] respects to [my late] father who couldn’t be with us today,” or so the lady told me. I looked to Daddy in confusion, but he only shrugged. Then the same lady escorted Daddy to the other side and said, “We have something to show you, sir.” I held out my hand trying to keep ahold of him. Also somewhere in the midst of all this confusion, I kept receiving weird phone calls on a cell phone I was keeping with me. None of the calls made sense nor could I understand them all. The only thing I knew is Daddy was being taken away from me yet again, but he wanted (wants?) to be a part of my “next chapter in my life” whatever that is.

Well, there you have it! That was my dream and I hope you found it as interesting as I have. Hopefully I can dream about him again and talk to him more, without getting interrupted this time! 😕

Alleluia! Jesus is risen! Alleluia! He is risen indeed!

About Christy

I enjoy: my family, my faith life, photography, drawing; writing, working on cars, basketball, football, and baseball. These are just a few of the many things I'll just have to read my blog to know me better to know more of them. Other things you may not catch on that I enjoy are: cats, angels, ballroom dancing, Christian music, camping (being one with nature and all of God's creations), traveling, cherry and apple blossoms, and the colors blue (in all shades), white, black, dark purple, and SOME shades of pink. (Rainbows are cool, too. And I'm NOT a lesbian! Although, I'm friends with some gays and lesbians as well as a few transgenders.) I am Roman Catholic. I graduated from Johnson County Community College, where I majored in Animation in hopes of fulfilling my dreams of being a computer generated animation movie maker. I also have a degree in Corporate Communication from Avila University. I'm currently employed at Nestle Toll House/Haagen-Dazs (at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park), I own my own business -- C & S Productions, L.L.C. (check it out at, and am single. My favorite time of year is Winter and the Christmas season! It's just so...well, I can't put it into words. ^_^ Lastly, I am 36 years young!
