Murphy’s Law

Today we experienced Murphy’s Law first hand. Things started smoothly enough, but by the time I started on my breakfast I could tell things were not going to go smoothly today. I burnt my hash brown and my breakfast burrito exploded in the microwave. That was all minor compared to what was about to happen.

Our washing machine stopped just before the rinse cycle and refused to spin and clean off the laundry Mom put in there. Steven helped us get all the laundry into a dirty clothes hamper and I lugged it upstairs to our bathtub to rinse off and wring out. Sadly, I got a bruise/red marks on my right lower arm from it, but I’m okay now. Also during this time Mom had tried repeatedly to call in her medicine and get the doctor to okay a refill for her. Steven also tried to make some 3D prints of some surprises, which I’ll take pictures of tomorrow or Sunday. After a failed first attempt, the second turned out and the jammed the printer later. Finally, the washing machine just started working and Mom was able to get her medicine. The only drawback there was we couldn’t pay in the pharmacy because they were too busy and the line was so long! Also, I still have a slight migraine or sinus headache. It’s been with me all day long!

Anyway, I am just glad today’s almost over; however, tomorrow will bring another round of sleet, snow, etc. 😦 Not looking forward to that now! So if you don’t see a post tomorrow or Sunday you’ll know why (we might have lost power…I hope not, though). Well, my blessing is I’m glad Steven is such a handyman AND he taught me how to do laundry; I confess I do not know how to do laundry. 😳

God, bless every one of us!

About Christy

I enjoy: my family, my faith life, photography, drawing; writing, working on cars, basketball, football, and baseball. These are just a few of the many things I like...you'll just have to read my blog to know me better to know more of them. Other things you may not catch on that I enjoy are: cats, angels, ballroom dancing, Christian music, camping (being one with nature and all of God's creations), traveling, cherry and apple blossoms, and the colors blue (in all shades), white, black, dark purple, and SOME shades of pink. (Rainbows are cool, too. And I'm NOT a lesbian! Although, I'm friends with some gays and lesbians as well as a few transgenders.) I am Roman Catholic. I graduated from Johnson County Community College, where I majored in Animation in hopes of fulfilling my dreams of being a computer generated animation movie maker. I also have a degree in Corporate Communication from Avila University. I'm currently employed at Nestle Toll House/Haagen-Dazs (at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park), I own my own business -- C & S Productions, L.L.C. (check it out at http://www.csproductionsllc.com), and am single. My favorite time of year is Winter and the Christmas season! It's just so...well, I can't put it into words. ^_^ Lastly, I am 35 years young!
