Endocrinologist Appointment Follow Up

I guess today wasn’t super terrible. I should elaborate. I started out having to go by myself today. I wanted Mom to go with me or Steven, but Steven had to print things for the business and Mom had to wait for the mailman to come by because we were expecting a package that required a signature. That meant I was forced to go alone. Okay, so I made it up there by myself (first of all that meant going up the stairs by myself and/or taking the elevator; I chose the former). After going up there I had to pay for the appointment myself (not bad, only $40). Then I had to calm myself down enough to make sure my blood pressure and pulse weren’t too high. My blood pressure ended up 122/70. ๐Ÿ˜€ Next came my blood sugar reading and A1C. My blood sugar was 140 and my A1C was 5.7! ๐Ÿ˜€ My weight also was measured. I am happy to report that I am finally down to 167! Woot!!! ๐Ÿ˜€

So what made it not completely positive? Well, my thyroid and my triglycerides are still too high and that means new medicine. ๐Ÿ˜› So here we go again. I also asked what she thought of me taking part in a clinical trial for people with high triglycerides. She gave me the okay to try it.

I guess my blessing was all the people who helped me calm down and get up and down the stairs without being afraid. ๐Ÿ™‚ They were complete strangers and felt like my angels today. I was so happy I had them in my life today even if they thought I was nuts for being afraid of the stairwell, but I have my reasons as you recall. :-/

God, bless every one of us (especially my “angels”)!

About Christy

I enjoy: my family, my faith life, photography, drawing; writing, working on cars, basketball, football, and baseball. These are just a few of the many things I like...you'll just have to read my blog to know me better to know more of them. Other things you may not catch on that I enjoy are: cats, angels, ballroom dancing, Christian music, camping (being one with nature and all of God's creations), traveling, cherry and apple blossoms, and the colors blue (in all shades), white, black, dark purple, and SOME shades of pink. (Rainbows are cool, too. And I'm NOT a lesbian! Although, I'm friends with some gays and lesbians as well as a few transgenders.) I am Roman Catholic. I graduated from Johnson County Community College, where I majored in Animation in hopes of fulfilling my dreams of being a computer generated animation movie maker. I also have a degree in Corporate Communication from Avila University. I'm currently employed at Nestle Toll House/Haagen-Dazs (at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park), I own my own business -- C & S Productions, L.L.C. (check it out at http://www.csproductionsllc.com), and am single. My favorite time of year is Winter and the Christmas season! It's just so...well, I can't put it into words. ^_^ Lastly, I am 35 years young!
