Venturing into the Unknown

Well, today I decided was the day I was going to finally take that big leap! I jumped headlong into Twitter. I had no idea what to expect or where to begin (aside from the obvious of picking a username, password, etc. of course). At any rate it is quite a flurry of activity and way busier than I ever thought it would be. I should have been prepared for it based on what I hear on TV, etc. but I still was not prepared for just the sheer number of people on it! It’s incredible! So what have I done for my first day on Twitter? Let’s see: I’m following 23 entities, made 2 tweets, and 1 retweet. I’ll be making a lot more tweets and create a profile photo as well as a background. I’m now thinking I may go ahead and make a twitter account for myself, but I’m not 100% sure yet. Where will you find the company on Twitter? Right here!

So while I venture into somewhat unknown territory for myself, I am continuing in some familiar territory. I continued my resolution and added flossing. Sadly, I can tell I haven’t flossed regularly. 😦 If I could put a bandage on my gums I would have tonight. The gums between my two front (top) teeth bled for a while. I suppose we all have to start somewhere, though. πŸ˜•

Speaking of starting, I guess I’ll have to start preparing again for another winter storm/blast. Tomorrow evening will begin a new storm system that is set to bring about 7 inches of snow into my area. Some areas north of me will get up to 10 inches and areas south of me will see about 3 inches (and ice).

I’ll make it somehow to work tomorrow for a half day shift and some fun with a former classmate turned coworker. Can’t wait! Then tomorrow night we’ll have a fire in our fireplace. πŸ˜€

So you probably haven’t guessed my blessing as I haven’t even come close to mentioning it. Well, guess I could just say that it was simply being safe and happy with my family. I can’t say much else because for one I haven’t checked my blood sugar/glucose yet tonight and I am not weighing myself until Wednesday or Thursday. There you have it then; my blessing is spending a safe and happy time with my family! πŸ˜€ So, good night!

God, bless every one of us!

About Christy

I enjoy: my family, my faith life, photography, drawing; writing, working on cars, basketball, football, and baseball. These are just a few of the many things I'll just have to read my blog to know me better to know more of them. Other things you may not catch on that I enjoy are: cats, angels, ballroom dancing, Christian music, camping (being one with nature and all of God's creations), traveling, cherry and apple blossoms, and the colors blue (in all shades), white, black, dark purple, and SOME shades of pink. (Rainbows are cool, too. And I'm NOT a lesbian! Although, I'm friends with some gays and lesbians as well as a few transgenders.) I am Roman Catholic. I graduated from Johnson County Community College, where I majored in Animation in hopes of fulfilling my dreams of being a computer generated animation movie maker. I also have a degree in Corporate Communication from Avila University. I'm currently employed at Nestle Toll House/Haagen-Dazs (at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park), I own my own business -- C & S Productions, L.L.C. (check it out at, and am single. My favorite time of year is Winter and the Christmas season! It's just so...well, I can't put it into words. ^_^ Lastly, I am 36 years young!
