Well, after yesterday’s carb feast I was more vigilant today with how few carbs I ate. The thing is I am beginning to wonder, now that I’ve counted the days, maybe I am putting on weight more because it’s near “that time of month” as we say around here. 😉 At any rate, it was a bit of a relief to realize that maybe this was the real reason for the weight gain and my binge eating as of late. For whatever reason when it nears “that time of month” I usually go nuts and eat a lot! Let me rephrase that; I eat WAY TOO MUCH! I’m working to make that different and so I don’t go overboard as often.
So I’ve come back to reality and realized this weight gain and excessive carb eating is probably not that big a deal and I’ll just get right back on soon (like in the next few days). 🙂 So what did I eat today that made me feel better? Two waffles (with oleo and sugar-free syrup) and turkey bacon (3 slices) for breakfast, fruit bars (2 frozen mango), cinnamon apple sauce (1 cup), a bacon cheeseburger, french fries, and some ham with cheese. I had about 1250 calories, too! Not bad, in my opinion. 🙂
So my blessing today was coming to the realization that I may not have eaten so much without a logical reason, no matter how crazy it is or if I’m using it as a crutch. I do realize I need to get back on track, though.
