I may not be paid enough to care, but I serve anyway and this time my hard work has paid off — to a degree! Throughout the month of January at Nestle’s we are having weekly contests. The contests are/were as follows: Most Half Dozens (buy 4 basic cookies get 2 free) Sold, Most Shakes Sold, Most Done on Slow Down Checklist (a.k.a. cleaning the store), Most Dazzlers (3 layers of ice cream with hot fudge and cookie crumbles between each layer and topped with hot fudge) Sold, and Top Sales (total sales) for the Month of January. This past week was Most Shakes Sold.
Well, I may not be paid enough to care, but I serve anyway and this time my hard work has paid off. I won that week’s contest. 😀 I don’t normally like to toot my own horn, but… man, that was an awesome week! It was also an insanely crazy, busy week. I was called in to work several times when I wasn’t supposed to be on the schedule, but you know what? I needed that paycheck to be fat for many reasons (but I’m not getting into those online because someone may see them that I don’t want to — let’s just say I’m planning a huge surprise for some people very soon)!
So I may not be paid enough to care, but this past week I actually took time out to talk with customers and get to know them as well as help them make decisions in their orders that maybe they wouldn’t have before and it made the difference between selling something and not. I also found out that on Sunday (another day I was called in, but had not normally worked in the past) even though I didn’t work nearly as long as everyone else, I actually far surpassed everyone else’s total sales that day! 😀
I don’t know how I’m doing these things, but I’m pleased that I’m doing so well at work.
Well, not much else to report on the work or home front, so I guess I’ll have to sign off for now and it’s getting late (yeah, that New Year’s Resolution went bye-bye 😦 Oh well).
God, bless us everyone!
