Ah, Frick!

Ah frick! Yeah, I don’t swear, so here’s me “cussing” today! Frick, frick, FRICK!!! I had a terrible day. I know it shouldn’t be so bad that I only had TWO customers who treated me like crap! Yes, only two; but it sure felt like two hundred! This is why I hate working more on the day AFTER Christmas than any other day of the year!

Give me all the madness on Black Friday. Give me Christmas Eve. Give me 4th of July (Independence Day). Give me Memorial Day. Give me any day except this one…December 26. Everyone here is on a mission to spend whatever money and gift card(s) they received the previous day on themselves. This is also the day for exchanges and getting away from family that has probably been cooped up in their house for the past week or so with them. If I was in there place, I’d rather be home with my family and watching a movie or doing anything else. You see I’m strange. I LOVE my family!

We’re a weird bunch and yet I love them dearly! We all are quirky in our own ways. For example, I am more of introvert, but I do like to party with a lot of people and music. My mom is a mixed bag and I’m not sure exactly what to say other than that. Steven is so much of an introvert it is very hard to get to know him, but if you ever do get to talk to him you will see he has the biggest heart and can find songs to lift you up or to inspire you. When the three of us are together, you can either have the funniest time poking fun at society and its expectations or you can have us in a deep intellectual debate over the latest controversy or so-called controversy.

Ah frick, when things get rough and tough we can sure pull together and hang in there for one another, listen, laugh, and just be ourselves around each other (well, for me it’s mostly just Steven, but you get the idea 😉 )!

Thanks, God, for the most amazing family ever! I hope your family is just as wonderful!

God bless!

About Christy

I enjoy: my family, my faith life, photography, drawing; writing, working on cars, basketball, football, and baseball. These are just a few of the many things I like...you'll just have to read my blog to know me better to know more of them. Other things you may not catch on that I enjoy are: cats, angels, ballroom dancing, Christian music, camping (being one with nature and all of God's creations), traveling, cherry and apple blossoms, and the colors blue (in all shades), white, black, dark purple, and SOME shades of pink. (Rainbows are cool, too. And I'm NOT a lesbian! Although, I'm friends with some gays and lesbians as well as a few transgenders.) I am Roman Catholic. I graduated from Johnson County Community College, where I majored in Animation in hopes of fulfilling my dreams of being a computer generated animation movie maker. I also have a degree in Corporate Communication from Avila University. I'm currently employed at Nestle Toll House/Haagen-Dazs (at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park), I own my own business -- C & S Productions, L.L.C. (check it out at http://www.csproductionsllc.com), and am single. My favorite time of year is Winter and the Christmas season! It's just so...well, I can't put it into words. ^_^ Lastly, I am 35 years young!
