I Survived!

I survived Black Friday today! My shift was cut short by about 3 hours, but I don’t care. I survived. It was crazy, but I’m glad I had a counter between me and the customers. Also I’m glad I could come home to family who loves me very much. Also my family is so wonderful that every year I’ve had to work Black Friday I always seem to receive something special because my family knows just how much I dread Black Friday (it’s almost as much as I hate April Fool’s Day)!

This year I received some coconut cream Oreos. 😀 When I got into the car and Steven pulled into a parking slot so we could change places (I prefer to drive and he prefers to ride if you remember rightly), I at first said I didn’t want the cookies as I had just ate a slice of cheese pizza at work just about 30 minutes before; although, after the lady and her daughter in the car across from us was waiting for us to leave so they could just pull through and a guy almost ran into me before I even left the parking lot. So when we finally got out of the parking lot and to the second intersection (where I just missed the green arrow), I relented. I had to have at least one cookie. It was so good I had a second. Before long I had all four (4) he brought with him. After I arrived home, he said he had even more surprises. He bought me 2 salmon filets (one of my absolute favorite fish aside from tuna,  flounder, and basa) and we were going to have Arby’s curly fries with dinner! I was beyond happy.

On to the rest of the holiday season. I have survived the biggest, baddest shopping day of the year. Now if I can just survive the rest and our company succeed in its new product line, I think we will be doing wonderfully!

I will report off and on the rest of this holiday season. Please pray for me, as I will for you, that we will both survive this holiday season!

God bless!

About Christy

I enjoy: my family, my faith life, photography, drawing; writing, working on cars, basketball, football, and baseball. These are just a few of the many things I like...you'll just have to read my blog to know me better to know more of them. Other things you may not catch on that I enjoy are: cats, angels, ballroom dancing, Christian music, camping (being one with nature and all of God's creations), traveling, cherry and apple blossoms, and the colors blue (in all shades), white, black, dark purple, and SOME shades of pink. (Rainbows are cool, too. And I'm NOT a lesbian! Although, I'm friends with some gays and lesbians as well as a few transgenders.) I am Roman Catholic. I graduated from Johnson County Community College, where I majored in Animation in hopes of fulfilling my dreams of being a computer generated animation movie maker. I also have a degree in Corporate Communication from Avila University. I'm currently employed at Nestle Toll House/Haagen-Dazs (at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park), I own my own business -- C & S Productions, L.L.C. (check it out at http://www.csproductionsllc.com), and am single. My favorite time of year is Winter and the Christmas season! It's just so...well, I can't put it into words. ^_^ Lastly, I am 36 years young!
