My Beautiful Life

So we’re not doing as well as we would like and that’s okay! What? Yes, that’s fine; I mean I’d like to do better and I’d love to enjoy some of the finer things in life, but maybe I wasn’t meant to and that’s okay. Maybe there’s another reason I’m supposed to remain low on the pecking order, as they say, but there’s plenty of reason to be happy.

I have my dear friend from high school to thank for tonight’s entry. I was looking at his Facebook page tonight and came across a video of his. Maybe, oddly enough, you’ve heard of my friend. He’s a young and upcoming country singer. As I’ve said before, I don’t usually listen to country music much, but I’ve also said that I’ll listen to just about anything if there is a meaning that resonates with me. Oh right, who is my dear friend? His name is Matt Gary. He didn’t sing this song, nor did he write it. He also didn’t play it or even compose it. In fact all he did was put the song to video, so I guess what you could say is he made a music video. The song, as best I can tell, was actually written and originally sung by Donny and Marie Osmond in 2011. The song is called A Beautiful Life and now for the lyrics (which I think seem to fit me very well)!

I don’t read the paper, I don’t watch the news
I can look out the window and the sky is still blue
We’re running on empty, but the glass is half full
It hasn’t been easy, but we’re doing OK
The bills keep on coming, somehow they’re getting paid
I’m counting my blessings, and putting my faith in you

It’s a beautiful life, with you here beside me
I know I can count on you to guide me
And that today, no matter what happens, the suns gonna shine
It’s a beautiful life, the world is still turning
I look in your eyes, and a fire still burning
As long as we’re close, I know everything is going to be alright
It’s a beautiful life

We don’t need a house, this apartment is fine
I can sell my car, baby I don’t mind
We’ll whether this storm, do what we gotta do
Ooh everything I need, is inside these walls
As long as we’re together, I have it all
I can wake up every morning with this point of view

It’s a beautiful life, with you here beside me
I know I can count on you to guide me
And that today, no matter what happens, the suns gonna shine
It’s a beautiful life, the world is still turning
I look in your eyes, and a fire still burning
As long as we’re close, I know everything is going to be alright
It’s a beautiful life

It’s a beautiful life with you here beside me
I know I can count on you to guide me
And that today, no matter what happens, the suns gonna shine
It’s a beautiful life, the world is still turning
I look in your eyes, and a fire still burning
As long as we’re close, I know everything is going to be alright
It’s a beautiful life

Oh, it’s a beautiful life
It’s a beautiful life
It’s a beautiful life

God bless!

About Christy

I enjoy: my family, my faith life, photography, drawing; writing, working on cars, basketball, football, and baseball. These are just a few of the many things I like...you'll just have to read my blog to know me better to know more of them. Other things you may not catch on that I enjoy are: cats, angels, ballroom dancing, Christian music, camping (being one with nature and all of God's creations), traveling, cherry and apple blossoms, and the colors blue (in all shades), white, black, dark purple, and SOME shades of pink. (Rainbows are cool, too. And I'm NOT a lesbian! Although, I'm friends with some gays and lesbians as well as a few transgenders.) I am Roman Catholic. I graduated from Johnson County Community College, where I majored in Animation in hopes of fulfilling my dreams of being a computer generated animation movie maker. I also have a degree in Corporate Communication from Avila University. I'm currently employed at Nestle Toll House/Haagen-Dazs (at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park), I own my own business -- C & S Productions, L.L.C. (check it out at http://www.csproductionsllc.com), and am single. My favorite time of year is Winter and the Christmas season! It's just so...well, I can't put it into words. ^_^ Lastly, I am 36 years young!
