Here I Am LORD

When God asks whom He should send, volunteer fully and never look back! ^_^ You will be amazed by the wonders God does for you and others when you volunteer to go where God sends you! ♥ You will also be surprised as to the many people you will meet on this journey. ♥ ^_^ ♥

Who said these wonderful and inspiring words? Try yours truly! I am often moved by the Spirit and speak words that often inspire me as much as I try to inspire others. I also do not usually know what I’m going to type until I do. I was thinking of these words this evening after reflecting on the First Reading from the Old Testament tonight at Mass. God is sending his prophet Ezekiel to speak with a group of people who are “hard of face and obstinate of heart” — namely the Israelites. These people have broken God’s covenant many times, but each time God tries to bring them back. To bring them back yet to God’s self, God calls to Ezekiel.

Just as God called to Ezekiel then, God calls to each of us now. When God calls us do we answer, “Here I am, LORD” or do we say, “Not me, LORD; send someone else.”

I can tell you that I used to be the one who answered, “Not me LORD! Send someone else I am afraid and I’m not ready to be spit upon, etc.” As of late my answer has changed. “Send me, LORD! I am afraid, but I know you will help me! I do not know where or whom I will meet, but YOU will help me!”

How are you going to change your “No” to a “Yes” this week? Start small and before long you will see the changes that I have described.

Okay, song break now! Hopefully you all know this one, though.

I, the Lord of sea and sky,
I have heard my peo-ple cry.
All who dwell in dark-ness now
My hand will save.

I who make the stars of night,
I will make their dark-ness bright.
Who will bear my light to them?
Whom shall I send?

Here I am, Lord. It is I Lord.
I have heard you call-ing in the night.
I will go, Lord, where you lead me.
I will hold your peo-ple in my heart.

I, the Lord of snow and rain,
I have borne my peo-ple’s pain.
I have wept for love of them.
They turn a-way.

I will break their hearts of stone,
Give them hearts for love a-lone.
I will speak my words to them.
Whom shall I send?

Here I am, Lord. It is I Lord.
I have heard you call-ing in the night.
I will go, Lord, where you lead me.
I will hold your peo-ple in my heart.

I, the Lord of wind and flame,
I will tend the poor and lame.
I will set a feast for them.
My hand will save.

Fin-est bread I will pro-vide,
Till their hearts be sat-is-fied.
I will give my life to them.
Whom shall I send?

Here I am, Lord. It is I Lord.
I have heard you call-ing in the night.
I will go, Lord, where you lead me.
I will hold your peo-ple in my heart.

These are just a few of the many things I like...you'll just have to read my blog to know me better to know more of them. Other things you may not catch on that I enjoy are: cats, angels, ballroom dancing, Christian music, camping (being one with nature and all of God's creations), traveling, cherry and apple blossoms, and the colors blue (in all shades), white, black, dark purple, and SOME shades of pink. (Rainbows are cool, too. And I'm NOT a lesbian! Although, I'm friends with some gays and lesbians as well as a few transgenders.) I am Roman Catholic. I graduated from Johnson County Community College, where I majored in Animation in hopes of fulfilling my dreams of being a computer generated animation movie maker. I also have a degree in Corporate Communication from Avila University.
