Happy Birthday, Mom

Today my mom celebrated her birthday surrounded by love from Steven and me. We took her out to dinner (Ryan’s Buffet and Steakhouse), which didn’t cost me nearly as much as I feared it would and we gave her plenty of wonderful gifts later (well, I considered them wonderful…she still insists I didn’t have to spend all that money on her)! I promised to talk a lot more about her today, but what’s to say that hasn’t all ready been said?

I mean Mom’s just one of those really wonderful people who can make friends with anyone no matter where she goes or what she’s doing. She almost always has a smile on her face and just wants to give of herself. She doesn’t seem to think she deserves all the happiness and joy she’s given in return! Steven and I beg to differ! She does all the cooking and cleaning around the house — not because she has to, but rather because she wants to do so! Mom also listens when no one else will listen to you; she gives out hugs freely and just wants to make you happy — genuinely happy that is! I couldn’t have asked for a better mom.

It’s been such a blessing to spend almost 31 years with her (no, I’m not stating her real age, but if you’re related you all ready know how old she is today or at least can find out from someone else ;)).

So I hope God has blessed you with a wonderful mom like I have or at the very least someone just like my mom in all the things I’ve listed above and in my other post dedicated to her. I hope God will bless her for many more years!

God bless!

About Christy

I enjoy: my family, my faith life, photography, drawing; writing, working on cars, basketball, football, and baseball. These are just a few of the many things I like...you'll just have to read my blog to know me better to know more of them. Other things you may not catch on that I enjoy are: cats, angels, ballroom dancing, Christian music, camping (being one with nature and all of God's creations), traveling, cherry and apple blossoms, and the colors blue (in all shades), white, black, dark purple, and SOME shades of pink. (Rainbows are cool, too. And I'm NOT a lesbian! Although, I'm friends with some gays and lesbians as well as a few transgenders.) I am Roman Catholic. I graduated from Johnson County Community College, where I majored in Animation in hopes of fulfilling my dreams of being a computer generated animation movie maker. I also have a degree in Corporate Communication from Avila University. I'm currently employed at Nestle Toll House/Haagen-Dazs (at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park), I own my own business -- C & S Productions, L.L.C. (check it out at http://www.csproductionsllc.com), and am single. My favorite time of year is Winter and the Christmas season! It's just so...well, I can't put it into words. ^_^ Lastly, I am 36 years young!
