This past Sunday (May, 27) we celebrated the birthday of the Catholic Church (or Pentecost). This isn’t any ordinary birthday. The thing is that this birthday doesn’t fall on the same day every year so you can’t plan for it like other birthdays. Also, this is one birthday that you do not have to buy a present for anyone. This birthday is one where the one giving the present is the one whose birthday it is. In this case, the Catholic Church is receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit from Jesus. It is amazing to think we have been given such a wonderful gift! This is the gift of any talent we have and share with others. This can be anything from writing to baking a wonderful dessert or dinner.
So take time this week to recognize your gifts and thank God for them!
