Today marks the beginning of Lent in the Christian/Catholic Church. I have decided this year to give up Facebook. It will be hard, but so worth it (I can tell)! I spend more than half of my day on the darned thing. I mean it’s great for making connections and keeping up with family, etc. but it’s incredibly addictive with all those pages you can find! I don’t play any of the games any more and only have 3 active apps (birthday calendar by American Greetings, I ❤ Pucca, and what God wants you to know). So if you get a notification or card, etc. from me on Facebook from now until Easter Sunday, it was all pre-sent and or does so automatically (like this entry will appear on Facebook because I told it to link my two accounts together).
Also I’ve decided to try to attend Mass two extra times during the weeks of Lent. Who knows I may actually keep this up after Lent, too. First things first, I have to find which times will work with my schedule.
I’d write more about what Ash Wednesday is, but I can’t do it justice. There are lots of cool articles out there, but if you do have questions let me know and I’ll try to answer them.
Good luck on your Lenten Journey and I’ll see you again tomorrow.
