Early Morning

I should have really been asleep long before I was yesterday. I had an early morning today; I had to wake up at 5:30 to take Steven to work by 6:30. No, it doesn’t take me that long to dress and what-not, but it does Steven. I was dressed by 5:35 this morning and still laying in bed waiting until about 6:05 to make my way to the Dinning Room where I knew Mom and Steven would be waiting. And I don’t normally have to take him to work, usually he takes himself, but today Steven had said at work there was going to be some work done on the shed in the parking lot and they were taking up a ton of space to do it; so he didn’t want to have to deal with that today.

I am a morning person, don’t get me wrong, but 5:30 is even too early for this morning person. If I had no commitments whatsoever I would be awake by 7:00 at the latest. I never was one to sleep in except in high school. I think all high schoolers are night owls! I guess it has to do with Friday night football, dances, and homework. I can remember staying up one time in high school ’til about 3:00 am and having to be up for school by 6:30 or 7:00! I am not sure how I did it, but somehow I managed.

After high school, I thought it’d be best to schedule classes for later in the day (say about 10:30 am), but I was up by 7:00 and couldn’t go back to sleep. Eventually, I worked a schedule out so I could have classes as early as 8:00 and be done by 2:00 pm (or 14:00). I have always enjoyed waking up early. There’s something refreshing to me about watching a sunrise and the birds, etc. I have always enjoyed mornings. I suppose that’s also why I took on a student work job as a library aid and got there at 7:30 every morning! I could watch the sun just peeking over the horizon; I could hear the birds beginning their morning in song! A beautiful, beautiful sight and sound to wake up to every morning!

Early mornings don’t usually bother me, but they do bother me when I’m used to now sleeping in until at least 7:30. 😕 I suppose, if I have to, I’ll get used to rising at 5:30 again and going to bed around 8:30 or 9:00 (20:30 or 21:00). It’s not that hard for me and besides I usually like going to bed early and getting up early. It’s hard for me to sleep in total darkness and hard to wake up to bright lights blaring in your eyes. 😐 Yup, I’m just an early bird!

God bless!

Just one of the many sites to see if you're an early bird, like me! (Note: I did NOT take this photo, but found it on http://www.publicdomainpictures.net)

About Christy

I enjoy: my family, my faith life, photography, drawing; writing, working on cars, basketball, football, and baseball. These are just a few of the many things I like...you'll just have to read my blog to know me better to know more of them. Other things you may not catch on that I enjoy are: cats, angels, ballroom dancing, Christian music, camping (being one with nature and all of God's creations), traveling, cherry and apple blossoms, and the colors blue (in all shades), white, black, dark purple, and SOME shades of pink. (Rainbows are cool, too. And I'm NOT a lesbian! Although, I'm friends with some gays and lesbians as well as a few transgenders.) I am Roman Catholic. I graduated from Johnson County Community College, where I majored in Animation in hopes of fulfilling my dreams of being a computer generated animation movie maker. I also have a degree in Corporate Communication from Avila University. I'm currently employed at Nestle Toll House/Haagen-Dazs (at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park), I own my own business -- C & S Productions, L.L.C. (check it out at http://www.csproductionsllc.com), and am single. My favorite time of year is Winter and the Christmas season! It's just so...well, I can't put it into words. ^_^ Lastly, I am 36 years young!
