Inspiration

Okay before I launch into this post, let’s just begin by saying I needed some inspiration for an entry and just burst into song (typical of me as you’ve probably all figured out or knew by now) singing You’re the  Inspiration by Chicago. Who doesn’t know this song? I’m serious! This is a wonderful song and what better topic for today’s entry than that!

I feel that inspiration can come from anywhere and anyone. inspiration comes from everything, too. I guess some might call me too inspired, but not very active. I tend to not do as much on my days I don’t go into work. Is that so wrong? I mean seriously, who wants to do housework?! Well, I shouldn’t really say that because I know Steven would rather be at home doing domestic things and not go out to the workforce everyday. He is inspired by things laying about the house and find things to do with them or for them. I have found inspiration in music, nature, and people.

Inspiration is something we all have but do not often know how to verbally explain it or we all need it is another way to put it. I feel we are often inspired by something or someone and then have trouble explaining why we are so inspired.

So here’s a list (in no particular order) of people (and some things) that inspire me:

  • Nature (e.g., sunsets, sunrises, etc.)
  • Music (instrumentals or vocals, it makes no difference)
  • Jesus Christ
  • Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
  • Blessed Mother Teresa
  • Fr. Bob Conroy, MC (I will have to upload a photo of him)
  • Gandhi
  • Archbishop Oscar Romero
  • President John Kennedy
  • President Abraham Lincoln
  • Blessed Pope John Paul II

Like I said this is just a sample list. There’s definitely more, but I can’t think of everyone or everything. Today, if I could, I would thank all these people on my list that have inspired me. I encourage you to make a list and if you have people, like I do, try to thank them if they are still here. If that means a phone call, a letter, a visit, etc. then do so. If they are no longer here, maybe share a story about them to someone and explain to the best of your ability why that person (or people) inspire(s) you. Who knows maybe one day you will be an inspiration for someone else, or even better, you may all ready be an inspiration for someone else!

God bless!

About Christy

I enjoy: my family, my faith life, photography, drawing; writing, working on cars, basketball, football, and baseball. These are just a few of the many things I like...you'll just have to read my blog to know me better to know more of them. Other things you may not catch on that I enjoy are: cats, angels, ballroom dancing, Christian music, camping (being one with nature and all of God's creations), traveling, cherry and apple blossoms, and the colors blue (in all shades), white, black, dark purple, and SOME shades of pink. (Rainbows are cool, too. And I'm NOT a lesbian! Although, I'm friends with some gays and lesbians as well as a few transgenders.) I am Roman Catholic. I graduated from Johnson County Community College, where I majored in Animation in hopes of fulfilling my dreams of being a computer generated animation movie maker. I also have a degree in Corporate Communication from Avila University. I'm currently employed at Nestle Toll House/Haagen-Dazs (at Oak Park Mall in Overland Park), I own my own business -- C & S Productions, L.L.C. (check it out at http://www.csproductionsllc.com), and am single. My favorite time of year is Winter and the Christmas season! It's just so...well, I can't put it into words. ^_^ Lastly, I am 36 years young!
