After yesterday, we are now down one tree in our backyard. 😦 I didn’t want to have to have them cut down the red bud (which I later was told was a crabapple) tree yesterday, but the “tree” that remained looked horrible and very unstable. I told them to just cut it down and take it away. All I asked is that they leave the tie down for me. Well, the tie down ended up getting severed and now only a portion of it is left. As sad as it is to see a bare spot in our yard now, I know it is for the better and that tie down itself looks very tired and worn as well; yet, it served its purpose and did way better than I ever would have thought it would!
Yes, I got in trouble with Steven for taking the tree down and removing a ton of branches from the tree in the front yard, but in the end it was probably for the best. I also got my neighbor across the street upset with me too because she thought I paid too much money for it. Maybe so, but I was not going to pay a bigger fee/bill for throwing out my back and ending up in the hospital! Also, I’m still waiting for that bill to arrive as I didn’t want to pay them over the phone with my debit/credit card.
So we are minus a tree, but maybe I’ll try my luck at growing miniature flower garden there. I say maybe because it is right near the fence and is in such a tight area that I mow anyway. I don’t know yet. All I know is something has to go there, and Steven says it has to be a tree (I don’t want another tree there!).
Well, anyways that’s how things turned out yesterday and I’m sure it will be costing us around $480. Mom and I have decided to split the bill and each pay half. Sucks, but we cannot afford for one person alone to pay $480 in all. That’s too much for this mediocre family of 3 at the moment.
Guess that’s all for this time around; I hope to have more insight next time around for you, but for this time not much else than an update on yesterday’s events.
